Hello Kitty Butter Cookies

Recipe
Unsalted butter 226g soften
Sugar 3/4 cup
Plain flour 2 cups
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg yolk



Beat butter, sugar, salt and vanilla till creamy.
Add in egg yolk and mix till well incorporated.
Add in sifted flour and mix till incorporated.
Dough needs to be refrigerated for a few hours or overnight if not will be too soft to work with.
I roll between 2 pc of baking paper and freeze for 20 mins l (if u dun want to wait overnight) will be easier to cut out the shapes. I dust the moulds with corn flour to prevent sticking.
I use the red hearts sprinkles which I bought from phoon huat at $3.15 and put at the ribbon before baking. The nose is yellow sprinkles.
Bake in the preheated oven at 140 degrees for 18 mins. Depends on the thickness of the cookies. You can try at a lower temperature so the cookies will not brown too much.
After cookies cooled. I use melted baking chocolate and piped the eyes and whiskers.
