150 g butter salted or unsalted
1/2 cup self raising flour
1 cup caster sugar
1tsp.baking powder
3/4 cup fresh milk
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3 eggs lightly beaten
1/4 cup apricot jelly/jam
1-2tsp vanilla
Dark sweet cherries
Red cherries
Chocolate flakes
Sift flour ,baking powder and cocoa powder 3 times.
Beat butter and sugar with electric beaters untul light and creamy.
Add egg gradually beating thoroughly after each addition.
Fold in sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Stir until just combined and the mixture is almost smooth.
Spoon mixture into prepared tin.smooth the surface.
Bake for 55 mins at 160˚ C.bake until cake is springy to touch.leave cake in tin for 5 mins before turning into wire rack to cool.
Frosting:
Cut the cake into halves then put some apricot jam and then put the black cherries then some icing.then
Just put again the half of cake.then you start put the icing.
