175gm semi chocolate
115gm butter
75gm caster sugar
4 large eggs (separated)
115gm self raising flour
45gm icing sugar
Baking time 45-60 mins
Method:
1) Pre-heat e oven to 180 deg
2) melt e chocolate using double boil method
3) beat butter & sugar till fluffy
4) beat in egg yolks. Pour the melted chocolate into mixture & mix on a slower speed. Keep e bowl of melted chocolate nearby.
5) gently stir e sifted flour into e mixture using metal spoon. Once mixed, pour e mixture into e bowl of melted chocolate. Remove the beater from e mixer.
6) get a clean & dry mixing bowl & place egg white into it.
7) place e whisking element on ur mixer. Beat e eggs whites until stiff, then beat in e icing sugar. Remove e whisk & our e beater back.
8) pour e chocolate mixture into e egg white mixture & mix together on slow speed. It will look dreadful at first but e two mixture will eventually mix smoothly together
9) scrape e mixture into e prepared pan & bake immediately.
10) when e cake is ready it should be silent, that is no bubbling noises. Insert e metal skewer & if it come out clean then it ready.
Tips:
The cake will form a hard crust on yoo ad it bakes & u will find it scorches and / or crack off once e cake had cooled. This is normal. Slice e crust off before u buttercream it.
