Banana Split Ice Cream Sundae Pop
If you're anything like me you currently have 23 tabs open on your computer (that have been there for about 6 days now), 20 bookmark folders (which are all filled with at least 114 different links), & scour the internet day and night looking for everything & anything cool: food, DIYs, tips & tricks, you get the idea.
So this past weekend when I decided to reopen my "make" folder I was overwhelmed with ideas & creations that I knew I must make. Typically I create my own recipes (no you're not alone, even my closest friends were surprised by that one) but of course I'm constantly inspired by what is on this crazy thing we call the world wide web. So for someone who spent 22 years of their life searching for a talent (I mean I tried everything, even tried to convince myself shopping was a legitimate talent..and still somewhat convinced it is) I've finally found it in recipe development & evil genius baking concoctions!

Back to the "make" folder. As I was laying in bed last night searching through recipe upon DIY upon 3 year old arts & craft projects, I came across this Banana Split Ice Cream Cup & was dying to make it. Not only because it looked delicious but because it is currently 80 degrees outside & the air conditioning in my building has yet to go on so a cold & tasty treat is exactly what I needed.

Fast forward to 8am the next day (what, you don't eat ice cream for breakfast?) I decided to make this treat. Except I followed the instructions step by step & when it came time to unwrap these treats they were a complete fail! I then tried numerous varieties, even leaving them in the freezer for double the recommended time. Nothing seemed to work: not hardshell as a substitute, not turning up the temperature in the freezer, nothing.

I decided to put my own spin on this treat & went over to my home away from home, Sur La Table, where I picked up some push pop containers. Made these treats in the plastic containers instead of the way the initial recipe called for & it was quite a success! Follow my updated recipe below & you'll be sure to enjoy this treat!
Banana Split Ice Cream Sundae Pop

crushed walnuts

push pop containers
ice cream scooper
3 spoons
Step 1:
