Basic Butter Cake - by May Tay

Basic Butter Cake

185g butter ( softened)
1 cup castor sugar
1.5tsp vanilla essence
3 large eggs
2 cups self-raising flour (shifted)
1/4 cup milk

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 170 and grease a 20 cake tin with butter and lay a baking sheet at the base
2. Whisk butter, sugar, vanilla together till light and creamy
3. Add eggs one at a time and whisk well after each adding
4. Add flour over mixture alternate with milk and stir in lightly with a spatula.
5. Spoon batter into the prepared tin and bake for 50-60mins
6. Done, remove from
Oven, released and remove from cake tin. Remove baking sheet at the bake and cool the cake overnight.
7. Eat next day or the day after.
